Professional Chemical Peels · Decatur, Georgia

Fresh skin starts with the right peel.

Four professional options. One treatment plan chosen for your skin.

At (R)Evolution MedSpa, chemical peels are not one-size-fits-all. We select from SkinMedica and Vivant treatments based on your concerns, tolerance, current routine, and the amount of recovery that makes sense for you.

Thoughtful Exfoliation

A clearer, smoother layer forward.

A professional peel applies a carefully selected exfoliating solution to lift away surface buildup and support a brighter, more even-looking complexion. Depending on the formula, a peel may help improve the appearance of dullness, congestion, uneven tone, rough texture, fine lines, or acne-related discoloration.

The treatment experience and recovery vary. Some options are designed to be gentler, while others address more pronounced concerns and may involve more visible peeling. Your provider will guide that choice rather than asking you to diagnose your own skin.

BrighterRefresh a dull or tired-looking complexion.
SmootherImprove the look and feel of uneven surface texture.
ClearerAddress congestion and acne-prone skin when appropriate.
More evenImprove the appearance of discoloration and uneven tone.

Meet the four peel options.

Mike’s treatment menu includes two SkinMedica chemical peels and two professional Vivant exfoliation treatments. The descriptions below explain how they differ without turning your consultation into guesswork.

SkinMedica Vitalize Peel professional treatment
SkinMedica

Vitalize Peel®

A professional peel for mild to moderate visible skin imperfections. SkinMedica describes it as an option for softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while addressing uneven tone associated with acne scarring or other pigment changes.

Often considered for: mild-to-moderate texture, fine lines, and uneven-looking tone.
SkinMedica Rejuvenize Peel professional treatment
SkinMedica

Rejuvenize Peel™

SkinMedica’s option for moderate to severe visible skin imperfections, as determined by a medical professional. It is designed to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, with the brand noting improvement may be visible after one peel and stronger results after a series.

Often considered for: more pronounced texture, fine lines, and uneven-looking tone when a stronger option is appropriate.
Vivant mandelic acid professional skincare
Vivant Skin Care

Mandelic Acid 30% Peel

A professional alpha hydroxy acid peel. Vivant describes mandelic acid as a gentler AHA because of its larger molecular structure, with professional use supporting smoother texture, more even-looking tone, and clearer-looking skin. Mike characterizes this as an easy, broadly suitable option, though every client still requires an individual assessment.

Often considered for: mild pigmentation, fine lines, acne-prone skin, texture, and clients who may benefit from a gentler AHA approach.
Professional Vivant enzyme peel treatment
Vivant Skin Care

Prozyme Lite

A moderate professional enzyme treatment made with bromelain, an enzyme derived from pineapple. Vivant lists it for all skin types and describes benefits including removing dead surface cells, easing congestion, brightening dullness, softening flakiness, and helping other products penetrate more effectively.

Often considered for: dullness, surface buildup, flakiness, congestion, and a lighter-refresh treatment with little expected interruption.

Brand descriptions provide general education, not a promise of individual results. Treatment availability, candidacy, strength, number of layers, and recommended series are determined after consultation.

Provider-Led Selection

You do not need to choose from a menu alone.

The “best” peel depends on more than the concern you see in the mirror. Your provider looks at your skin’s current condition, sensitivity, pigment response, recent sun exposure, active skincare, medications, upcoming events, and treatment history before recommending an option.

Your Appointment

What to expect.

Your exact protocol will reflect the treatment selected for you. These are the steps most clients can expect around a professional peel appointment.

01

Consult

We review your goals, health history, medications, recent procedures, sun exposure, and active skincare.

02

Prepare

You may receive instructions to pause selected products or postpone treatment if the skin barrier is irritated.

03

Treat

The skin is cleansed and the selected professional formula is applied according to your individualized protocol.

04

Protect

Follow aftercare closely, use the recommended gentle products and sunscreen, and avoid picking or pulling at flaking skin.

Temporary warmth, tightness, dryness, redness, sensitivity, flaking, or visible peeling can occur. The degree and timing vary by formula and individual response. Contact the practice if a reaction feels unexpected or concerning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before you peel.

Which chemical peel is right for me?

The right option depends on your goals, skin condition, sensitivity, pigment response, current routine, medical history, and desired recovery. A consultation lets your provider recommend the appropriate formula and protocol rather than relying on a self-selected strength.

Will my skin visibly peel?

Possibly. Visible flaking or peeling varies by product, application, and individual response. A lighter enzyme treatment may create little interruption, while stronger chemical peels may involve more noticeable dryness or shedding. Your provider will explain what is expected for the option selected.

Is the Vivant Mandelic Acid 30% Peel safe for every skin type?

Vivant describes mandelic acid as a gentler AHA and notes that it can be a useful option across a broad range of clients, including skin prone to hyperpigmentation. “Gentler” does not mean risk-free or automatically appropriate for everyone. Individual assessment, preparation, application, and aftercare still matter.

What is the difference between Vitalize and Rejuvenize?

SkinMedica positions Vitalize Peel for mild to moderate visible imperfections and Rejuvenize Peel for moderate to severe visible imperfections, as determined by a medical professional. Rejuvenize is not automatically “better”; the appropriate choice depends on what your skin can safely tolerate and what you want to address.

How should I prepare?

Do not change your routine without guidance. Tell your provider about prescription and over-the-counter skincare, retinoids, exfoliating acids, recent waxing, other procedures, medications, pregnancy or nursing status, active irritation, cold sores, and recent sun exposure. You will receive specific instructions based on your treatment plan.

How many treatments will I need?

That varies by peel, concern, response, and goal. Some clients notice a refreshed appearance after one treatment, while a planned series may be recommended for cumulative improvement. Results are individual and cannot be guaranteed.

Can I combine a peel with other treatments?

Sometimes, but timing matters. Professional exfoliation can affect how skin responds to lasers, microneedling, waxing, injectables, and active home-care products. Let the practice coordinate your treatment calendar rather than stacking services independently.
